British Champion GT racing car driver chooses Altius to provide his teams sports medical services this season
22 July 2020
“After finishing a challenging yet enjoyable 2019 season, claiming the Pro/Am title in British GT, I felt that it was the right time to make some changes with my personal set-up and move forward as a silver-graded driver,” revealed De Haan.
“After meeting RAM Racing and seeing what they had to offer, I was taken aback by the level of detail that goes into their set-up as well as being hugely impressed with the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 car. I’m extremely excited to begin this new chapter in my career with one of the best teams in Europe, as well as undoubtedly the best all-round car in the Mercedes… Full steam ahead!”
Altius will provide physio and massage to Sam during the race weekend. Sam had a full medical screening earlier in the year and was given a full performance plan which included a driver specific strength and conditioning plan for his neck and on-line support from our sports nutritionist Simon Edwards.
Manchester based Simon has worked as a sports nutritionist & strength coach for a driver in the GT championship before and works privately as a consultant for us doing either on-line consultations or face to face from our Hale clinic.
